What is OCD?
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is an illness characterised by obsessions and/or compulsions (though both are usually present).
Obsessions are repetitive, unwanted thoughts, images, or impulses that a person finds unacceptable and/or repugnant but is unable to ignore them.
Compulsions are continuous, ritualistic actions, or ruminations, which the person feels driven to perform in order to reduce the anxiety, brought about by the obsession.
